FIVE MORE DAYS TO GO till Christmas! I don’t know about you but didn’t it feel like this 2016 just whizzed by?
I always look forward to the holidays, because FOOD. MATCHING RED OUTFITS. PRESENTS. FOOD. The spirit of Christmas is contagious around here! Everyone is excited about The Tree and the ornaments to be hung. Both sides of our families were into the seasonal decors. In my hubby’s family house, we have this huge Christmas tree spanning from the first floor to the second floor. It’s been been standing there since September. In my Mom’s house, she had installed moving Santa and Reindeer lights outside our balcony. She also bought not one, but two Christmas trees.
I am more inspired than ever to have our own place. Not just an apartment, but a real house. I want to decorate my own room, my little girl’s room, and I’m already fantasizing my own kitchen where I can bake with my little one. We’ll have the best bonding moments. We’ll have a backyard, a secret hideaway, and a girly fort complete with twinkly lights. Christmas would look something like this!
Like my family tradition, I shall have Santa Socks filled to the brim! I remember back when I was a kid, my mom gave me at least 2-3 gifts every Christmas. Each time, I couldn’t wait to open them. I guess that’s one thing that will never go away with me, even fast forward to twenty-five years after, the thrill of having a gift waiting to be opened is still there.
It’s been some time since I experienced exchanging gifts. Oh sure, our friends and families give each other gifts all the time during Christmas, but I’m talking about the exchange gift as an activity. So when Mommy Bloggers Philippines hosted a Mommy Gift Swap, I jumped in and joined. It’ll be more fun because you’ll be getting a gift from someone whom you’ve never met!
I got pretty excited when I received this gift from my gift swap partner, Abby:
Did she KNOW me?! I’ve been looking for a cute little bag that I can use during events. I love dangling earrings. I love cheese. A notebook with a prayer. And I can definitely use a bookmark. Without reading her blog, I knew she’s an awesome Mommy already.
EAT. PRAY. PLAY. SLAY. I completely agree with her that we, as hardworking Moms, should practice this mantra.
You can check out more of Mommy Abby at her blog: Lifestyle By Abby. She has great tips about parenting, traveling, and fashion!
The Mommy Gift Swap of course won’t be complete without my ‘Baby’ as well. My co-blogger Mommy SJ is my baby and I hope that she liked my present. I wasn’t able to take a photo of it but it’s something that I personally like and would have bought for myself too! You can check out Mommy SJ at her blog All Around Pinay Mama. She sure is one Super Mom!
Now I am still quite new to the mommy blogging community and was glad to have the opportunity to join the Mommy Gift Swap. I look forward to getting to know more fellow mommies. Another perk of being a new mom. Don’t I wish I became one sooner HAHA!
A heap of thanks to #MommyBloggersPH and also to the sponsors of the #MBPGiftSwap for making this happen!
